The
Air Jordan 20 (XX) Original (OG) - Midwest (Varsity Red / White -
Black) were released on July 1, 2005, and retailed for $175.They
feature a red nubuck upper with engraved laser etchings throughout, along with a
white midfoot strap and midsole. They were released as part of a regional pack,
and dubbed the “Midwests†as they were only released in that region. The
Air Jordan 20 (XX)
was designed by original Jordan Brand mastermind Tinker Hatfield, to celebrate
20 years of accomplishments by the great Michael Jordan, the greatest player the
NBA has ever seen. The concept behind these are an expensive trumpet (musical
instrument), racing boots, and motorcycle tires. The XX is truly unique, in that
it has a revolutionary cushioning technology called Independent Podular
Suspension (IPS) system, as well as a free - floating ankle strap. Other
technical specifications include leather, patent leather or nubuck uppers with
laser-etched highlights, a phylon midsole supporting twenty I.P.S.(Independent
Podular Suspension) pods on the outsole, and an internal shank plate in the
midfoot area.
